The 4-member delegation, headed by Major General C.S Dewgun YSM, the ADG MI (A), called on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, on 9 July 2024, coinciding with the 10th India-Sri Lanka Army-to-Army Staff Talks.
The delegation comprised Colonel Nitin Yadava, the Colonel DCD (A), Captain M. Anand of the Indian Navy and Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi SM.
During the exchange of views, the Army Chief gratefully acknowledged the cooperation that has prevailed between both the Sri Lankan and Indian Armed Forces for many years and underlined the need to further foster bonds and exchange more training modules.
Senior Officers from India expressed their gratitude to the Commander of the Army by capturing several photos to commemorate the occasion. Towards the end, mementoes were exchanged between both parties as symbols of goodwill. The Director General General Staff and Director General Training also participated in the occasion.
