Inauguration of Upper Floor at SLASC's 'Siyawasa' Office Complex

The upper floor of the ‘Siyawasa’ office complex at the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) was inaugurated on 27 June 2024. Major General A.K. Rajapakse RSP, the Master General Ordnance of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the SLASC, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Upon arrival, the chief guest was received by the Centre Commandant at the newly constructed complex main entrance. Afterwards, the chief guest was accorded a Guard Turnout and then ushered to the ‘Siyawasa’ office complex in a colourful welcoming procession.

Amidst the chanting of Seth Pirith by members of the Maha Sangha, the chief guest unveiled the plaque and entered the new building at the auspicious time. The construction of the new main entrance was sponsored by the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLASC-SVB) under the direction of the Chairperson of SLASC-SVB.

Coinciding with the inauguration, pirith chanting ceremony and an alms-giving (Heel Dana) were held. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
