General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division Assumes Office

Major General P.R. Pathiravithana USAWC psc assumed duties as the 30th General Officer Commanding of the 52 Infantry Division on 26 June 2024 amidst military traditions at the Headquarters, 52 Infantry Division, in Mirisuvil.

Major General P.R. Pathiravithana USAWC psc was accorded a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour upon his arrival. Subsequently, he assumed duties amidst the blessings of the Maha Sangha, before posing for a group photograph and planting a sapling to symbolise the occasion.

Furthermore, the General Officer Commanding addressed the troops and highlighted his scope of work and duties in the days to come. In concluding the day’s itinerary, the General Officer Commanding had an interaction with the Officers and Other Ranks during the tea reception.
