The 4th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sri Lanka Army Special Forces Veterans’ Association was held on 22 June 2024, at Hotel Kroll Village in Kurunegala, with the participation of 185 Special Forces veterans.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including the former Commander of the Army, General N.U.M.M.W Senanayake (Rtd) RWP RSP VSV USP USACGSC, Colonel of the Regiment Special Forces Major General J.P.C. Pieris RWP RSP ndc, Colonel Jayavi Fernando (Rtd) WWV RWP RSP USP.
During the event, key appointments for 2024-2025 were selected, including the president, Major General Nirmal Dharmarathne WWV RWP RSP, the secretary, Captain H.M. Nalin Herath, and the treasurer, Major W.M. Thushara Wijesundara. A notable highlight was the awarding of a lifetime membership to former Commander of the Army General N.U.M.M.W Senanayake (Rtd) RWP RSP VSV USP USACGSC, recognizing his contributions to the Special Forces regiment.
