Troops of 243 Infantry Brigade Pays Last Respect to Rehabilitated Former LTTE Member

P. Vasanthan, a 43-year-old rehabilitated former LTTE member, residing in the Vavunathivu - Kannakuda area, passed away on 19 June 2024. His last rites were performed on 20 June 2024 in the Kannakuda area.

Vasanthan, who was successfully rehabilitated, had shown utmost commitment to community support and reconciliation endeavours post-rehabilitation.

Under the guidance of Major General S.A. Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, the Commander, Security Forces - East, Officers and Other Ranks of the 243 Infantry Brigade and 11 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment participated in the funeral ceremony, paying their last respects to Vasanthan.
