Security Forces Headquarters – Central (SFHQ -Central) arranged a formal ceremony to bid farewell to the former Commander, Security Forces – Central (SF – Central), Major General S.R.B Aluvihare RWP RSP ndu psc on 22 June 2024 at SFHQ -Central camp premises.
In accordance with military traditions, a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour were accorded before he marked the end of his tenure by signing the official handing-over document at the office premises.
Adding memories to the day, the outgoing Commander, SF – Central was invited to pose for a group photograph and was also invited to plant a mango sapling in the compound. In his address to all Ranks, the Commander expressed appreciation for the commitment and dedication demonstrated by all ranks during his tenure.
The formalities for the day concluded with an All-Ranks tea, providing an opportunity for the outgoing Commander, SF – Central to interact with all Ranks.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and civil employees participated in the event.
