Newly-Promoted Major General W.G.P Sisira Kumara RSP Receives Symbol of Authority

Recently promoted Major General W.G.P Sisira Kumara RSP, the Deputy Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force received his symbol of authority and greetings from the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, during a formal courtesy call held on 31 May 2024 at the Commander’s Office.

The Commander of the Army extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to the newly promoted Major General, who has dedicated more than three decades to the betterment of the Nation. He is also the most Senior Officer in the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

After a cordial interaction, the Commander of the Army awarded him the symbolic General’s sword to signify his new authority as a two-star General. The Senior Officer, thanking the Commander of the Army for his warm wishes, added memories to the occasion by posing for several photographs.
