Troops of the 11 Field Sri Lanka Engineers, laid the foundation stone for a new house for a needy family in Nunavil on 22 May 2024. The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division, and supervision of the Commander 523 Infantry Brigade Colonel S.M.C.A.S Samarathunga RSP.
Generous donors from Imaging International Compassion (Pvt) Ltd in Australia have promised financial sponsorship for the construction, which will be carried out by Army troops.
The General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division participated in the event as the chief guest. Members of the charity organization Pastor, A Arul, and members of the Christian religious leaders, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, family members, and villagers were present at the occasion.
