Chief Signal Officer Visits 7 SLSC at Diyatalawa

The Chief Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC), Major General I.H.M.R.K Herath USP ndc psc, marked his maiden visit to 7 SLSC on 13 May 2024, after taking over duties as the Colonel Commandant of SLSC.

Major M.A.S.S Muthugoda USP psc, the Commanding Officer warmly welcomed the arriving Senior Officer on arrival. Subsequently, a Guard Turnout was awarded by the troops at the main entrance in accordance with military formalities.

Adding memories to the day, he planted a ‘Na' sapling in the premises and posed for a group photograph with the troops. Addressing the troops, the Colonel Commandant of SLSC emphasized about harnessing professionalism whilst preserving highest standard of discipline during career progression of the troops.

Major General I.H.M.R.K Herath USP ndc psc, participated in a comprehensive briefing conducted by the Commanding Officer and interacted with the troops during an All Ranks tea.

Further, he joined Officers in a lunch at the Officers’ Mess and left some compliments in the Visitors' Book prior to his departure. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks also participated in the occasion.
