CES Colonel Commandant Visits CES OC Troop and 15th Engineer Services Regiment

Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Director General of Financial Management and Colonel Commandant of Corps of Engineer Services (CES), visited the CES Officer Commanding (OC) Troop and 15th Engineer Services Regiment on 04 May 2024.

The day’s agenda began with the welcoming of the visiting Colonel Commandant in a Guard Turnout presented by the CES OC troops. Afterwards, the role, tasks, and progress of projects undertaken by the CES OC troops in Mullaitivu were conducted by Staff Officers of the CES OC troops.

Adding memories to the day, the Colonel Commandant was invited to pose for a group photograph and plant a sapling on the premises. Following that, the visiting Colonel Commandant addressed the troops by highlighting the importance of maintaining discipline. After that, he joined all ranks tea before proceeding to the 15th Engineer Services Regiment.

At the 15th Engineer Services Regiment, the visiting Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed in a drive pass upon his arrival. The Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel S.B.T.P Silva CES, conducted a comprehensive briefing on their role, tasks, progress of construction projects, and concurrent welfare projects for soldiers and their families.

To mark his visit, he posed for a photograph and planted a sapling on the camp premises. Thereafter, the Colonel Commandant addressed all ranks. By concluding the visit he penned down some complimentary remarks in the visitors' book.
