New Director Movement Begins Work

Brigadier S.W.R Prasanna RWP RSP USP assumed duties as the new Director of the Directorate of Movement on 09 May 2024 during a simple ceremony at his Army HQ office.

He marked the assumption symbolically by placing his signature in an official document in the presence of several Officers of the Directorate.

He succeeds Major General W.L.A.C Perera RWP RSP USP, who has now been appointed as the General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division.

Prior to this appointment Brigadier S.W.R Prasanna RWP RSP USP served as the Director Infantry at the Directorate of Infantry.
