Brigadier S.A Hettige RSP psc assumed duties as the 15th Commandant of Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) during a brief ceremony held at the IPSOTSL on 10 May 2024.
The Commandant was welcomed by the Chief Instructor, IPSOTSL after he was saluted in a Guard Turnout at the entrance. Then, symbolizing his acceptance of the new office amidst religious observances, Brigadier S.A Hettige RSP psc, left his signature in an official document in the presence of a gathering of Senior Officers. Adding memories to the day, the Commandant planted a mango sapling in the compound.
Addressing the IPSOTSL staff, Brigadier S.A Hettige RSP psc outlined his vision and duties, marking the start of his leadership at the institute.
