Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Director General of Financial Management and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services(CES), visited the 5th Engineer Services Regiment and 11th Engineer Services Regiment on Wednesday (03 May 2024) to inspect the welfare and facilities of under-command troops.
The day’s agenda for both regiments commenced welcoming the Colonel Commandant of CES with a drive pass by the respective Commanding Officers of the 5th and 11th Engineer Services Regiments. Afterward, the Commanding Officers conducted a comprehensive briefing of their role, tasks, progress of construction projects, and concurrent welfare projects for soldiers and their families.
Marking the visit to under command formations, the Colonel Commandant of CES, posed for a photograph with Officers of the respective regiments, and planted a sapling on the camp premises. Addressing the Officers and the Other Ranks of the 5th and 11th Engineer Services Regiments the Colonel Commandant of CES emphasized the importance of military discipline and cohesive work to achieve organizational goals. Further, he highlighted the recent traffic accident and the importance of maintaining traffic discipline and road safety.
The Colonel Commandant of CES concluded his visit leaving remarks in the Visitors' Book. Brigadier K.L Munasinghe USP, Center Commandant of CES also joined with the vist.
