56 Infantry Division Organizes another Medical Camp

56 Infantry Division troops in collaboration with the Assist Renaissance and Resettlement Organization conducted an Eye Clinic at Kanagarayankulam on 28 April 2024. The event was funded by the Secretary of Assist Renaissance and Resettlement Dr. Velayudam Sarveshwaran.

During the Eye Clinic, 303 visionary impaired people were identified for surgery and provision of spectacles. The event was organized under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division, Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc and 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment of 561 Infantry Brigade made the necessary arrangments.

The Deputy General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division Brigadier W.S.V Fernando USP ndc IG, Senior Officers, Dr. Vidushan, Ophthalmologist of Teaching Hospital Jaffna and Staff of Ananthi Eye Care participated in the event.
