Sri Lanka Army Service Corps hosts its 74th Anniversary

The Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) celebrated its 74th Anniversary in a grand event filled with tradition and camaraderie on 30 October 2023. The day commenced with the awarding of the Anniversary Guard Turnout to Major General A.K. Rajapakse RSP, the Master General Ordnance, and the Colonel Commandant of SLASC where soldiers displayed their impeccable discipline and dedication to duty.

Following this, a majestic ceremonial parade unfolded and it showcased the regiment's precision and unity as they marched with pride and honor. Amidst the festivities, a symbolic tree-planting ceremony took place, signifying the corps' commitment to environmental sustainability and growth. This gesture underscored the values of stewardship and responsibility ingrained within the corps.

Capturing the essence of the occasion, a group photograph was taken, immortalizing the collective spirit and unity of the Officers and Other Ranks present. Smiles and camaraderie filled the air, reflecting the strong bonds forged through shared experiences and dedication to service.

The celebrations culminated in a traditional all ranks lunch, where officers and soldiers came together to enjoy a meal symbolizing solidarity and camaraderie. Amidst laughter and conversation, stories of valor and sacrifice were shared, further strengthening the bonds of brotherhood within the corps.
