With the intention of providing quality bakery snacks and food items at reasonable rate, a new wing, called the ‘Wanni Bakers’, attached to the already functional ‘Wanni Food City’ managed by the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni in the compound by the roadside.
Major General W.P.A.D.W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Commander, Security Forces-Wanni on Saturday (14 October) inaugurated the new bakery unit.
Accordingly, all members of the Tri-Forces, Police and the general public living in Vavuniya, inclusive of students are capable of buying bakery items, such as bread, cake, pastries, snacks, tea/coffee, fruit juice, etc at very reasonable price.
The construction of this new bakery was made successful with the full involvement of the Wanni Garrison Engineer and his troops.
Brigadier project, Brigadier Admin and Quartering, Colonel General Staff, Colonel Admin and Quartering, Officers, Regimental Sergeant Major, and Senior Non Commissioned Officers of the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni took part in the inaugural ceremony.
