‘Twenty Nest’ Holiday Bungalow of SLLI at Mukkompan Vested in Troops

A simple inaugural ceremony vested the 20 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI)-built new Holiday Bungalow, ‘Twenty Nest’ at Mukkompan, Pooneryn on Friday (17) where Major General Jagath Kodituwakku, Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Light Infantry and Commander Security Forces - Jaffna attended as the Chief Guest at the invitation of the 66 Division HQ.

The simple inauguration included the unveiling of a plaque, planting of a symbolic sapling, warming of the new building by ribbon-cutting, group photographs and a troop address.

The inauguration was attended by the General Officer Commanding 66 Division, Major General Ajith Dissanayake, Centre Commandant of SLLI, Brigadier Crishantha Peiris, Commander 662 Brigade, Brigadier Chaminda Liyanage, Officers and Other Ranks of the 20 SLLI.

The new Holiday Bungalow was constructed with the dedicated support of all Officers and Other Ranks in the battalion under the guidance and supervision of the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel I.K.A.C Kumara. A memento was also presented by the Commanding officer as a symbol of memory to the day’s Chief Guest, Major General Jagath Kodituwakku, Colonel of the Regiment, SLLI towards the end of the day's programme.
