‘Ride with Pride’ Rides with Hundreds of Riders

‘Ride with Pride,’ one more interest-provoking ‘health-oriented’ project of the Army with hundreds of cycling enthusiasts kicked off for the second time on Sunday (28) morning at Galle Face Green.

Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Army who flagged off the event also took part in the cycle ride ‘Ride with Pride’, amidst cheers.

The mega cycling tour with more than 200 cyclists from Army, Navy, Air Force and civil sector participants was organized on a grand scale, following elaborate arrangements, put in place by the Directorate of Army Sports, chaired by Major General Anura Sudasinghe, Director General Sports and the support extended by authorities in the Army Cycling Committee, headed by Brigadier Duminda Sirinaga.

The expedition enabled the riders to traverse via along the Galle road towards Kollupitiya, RA de Mel Mawatha, Moratuwa, Panadura (old Galle road) and turned back at Walana Junction to return to the Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Base Workshop at Katubedda where the pleasure ride ended.

At Galle Face Green, the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake was welcomed on arrival by Major General Dampath Fernando, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army.

After the expedition ended at Mechanical Engineers Base Workshop at Katubedda, the Commander of the Army took time off to mingle with riders and shared a couple of thoughts with them.jordan release date | Yeezy Boost 350 Trainers
