Army troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) assisted the conduct of ‘Pirith’ chanting ceremony of the monks at Nagadeepa Raja Mahaviharaya Temple premises on Saturday (7) by way of security arrangements and other related services.
Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, together with senior officers attended the meritorious project which blessed the whole of Sri Lanka and her people.
Similarly, Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) with the same motive as at Jaffna Nagadeepa Vihara assisted the conduct of a blessing ceremony, held at Lumbini Viharaya in the heart of Kilinochchi town on Saturday (7).
Major General Jayantha Gunaratne, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi attended the inaugural occasion of the ‘Pirith’ chanting at Lumbini Vihara, together with state officials and members of the Security Forces and the Police. This has been organized by the Kilinochchi District Secretariat in coordination with all state agencies.
