The Army’s innovative initiative for the 21st century, ‘Central Innoveta’ came to the Security Force Headquarters-Central (SFHQ-C) early on Wednesday (9) to display the skills of creative minds of the SFHQ-C troops.
The mega exhibition, ‘Innoveta’ which saw its birth as a conceptual notion of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva has been designed to extract hidden creative talents of Army troops serving in island-wide SFHQs.
‘Central Innoveta’ at the SFHQ-C premises with more than 25 exhibition stalls put up by soldiers of Divisions, Brigades and Units of the SFHQ-C would continue till this evening (9).
Major General P. U. S. Vithanage, Commander, SFHQ-C this morning (9) inaugurated the exhibition during a simple ceremony.
School students are encouraged to visit this exhibition without fail.
Major General G.R.H Dias, Commander, Army Training Command (ARTRAC), Commander, 112 Brigade, Additional Government Agent (AGA), Zonal Educational Director (ZED), Diyatalawa, Dr Sisira Ediriweera, Department of Science and Technology and Dr E.D.N.S Abeyratne, Department of Animal Science, Uva Wellassa University attended the opening ceremony.
