The launching ceremony of the book, 'Aamariya Sealed' (ආම‍රිය සීල්) and the collection of graffiti, ‘Yudabime Kurutu Gee’ (යුදබිමේ කුරුටු ගී) book, both authored by Lieutenant Colonel S.C Edirisinghe, Chief Editor of the Army ‘Ranaviruwa’ magazine at the Directorate of Psychological Operations at the Army HQ took place this afternoon (7 September) during a ceremony at Mahaweli Kendraya, Colombo 7 in the presence of a gathering of military Officers and other invitees, headed by Major General C.D Ranasinghe RWP RSP Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army as the Chief Guest for the occasion.

The author of both books after a brief welcome enlightened the audience about both books and explained what stimulated him to compile this dossier of short stories and the book of graffiti verses, all compiled and left by Army soldiers who actively contributed to the successful culmination of the humanitarian operations in the battlefield before May 2009. The author's close research and findings after visiting old bunkers and other associated places soon after the war enabled the author to produce those two books of immense interest and help to the Army.

After a while, he presented the maiden copy of his books to Major General C. D Ranasinghe RWP RSP and other invitees. The elegant prose is comprised of 22 true stories that had occurred in the battlefield. Up to now, Lieutenant Colonel S.C Edirisinghe has authored 8 books, related to the LTTE war history and the Army's effective contribution to the eradication of LTTE terrorism.

A gathering of Senior Officers including Major General D. M. K. D. B Pussella RWP RSP, Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Officers and invitees were there to extend greetings to the author.
