‘Wanni Innoveta’ Exhibition Comes to Colombo AHQ

The ‘Wanni Innoveta’ Educational exhibition of the Army, previously held at the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W) went on display at the Army Headquarters (AHQ) this morning (10), following a suggestion made by the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva. 

‘Wanni Innoveta’ which consists of a number of creative artistic products of Wanni soldiers was declared opened by Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army at the invitation of Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, SFHQ-W.

The exhibition which will remain open throughout the whole day consists of newly-produced steel cutters, grass cutters, domestic appliances, etc which were invented by Wanni soldiers using innovative thinking. 

Major General Jagath Dias, Chief of Staff, Major General Mahinda Ambanpola, Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Adjutant General, Major General Kamal Gunarathne, Master General Ordnance, Major General Mahesh Senanayake, Military Secretary, Major General B.A. Perera, Director General General Staff, Mr. Dinesh Sattrukalsinghe – Director, Sri Lanka Inventors Commission (SLIC), General Officers Commanding at SFHQ-W, Senior officers, officers and other ranks attended the event.
