Zambian Commander Interacts with Zambian Officer Cadets under Training at SLMA

The visiting Zambian Army Commander, Lieutenant General W.M Sikazwe called at the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) in Diyatalawa on Saturday (22). On arrival at the helipad, he was received by Major General Laksiri Waduge, Commander Security Forces - Central.

He was greeted to a drive-past Guard Turnout at the entrance to the SLMA before he laid a floral wreath to the SLMA War Heroes' monument at the SLMA. He was warmly welcomed by the Commandant SLMA at the venue.

A presentation on the role and tasks of the Sri Lanka Military Academy was afterwards produced by Colonel Nilantha Premarathna, Commanding Officer SLMA at the auditorium. He also did not forget to talk with two Zambian Officer Cadets who are undergoing Officer Cadets training course at the SLMA.

Afterwards Lieutenant General W.M Sikazwe had a courtesy call on the SLMA Commandant Brigadier A.K.G.K.U Gnanarathna and discussed matters of bilateral training and course modules.

At the end of the meet, the Commandant SLMA gave away a memento to the Zambian Army chief.

Afterwards, he visited the ARTRAC, together with Major General Suraj Bangsajayah, Commander ARTRAC and had a brief discussion on the Army Training modules and exchanged matters, related to further enhancement of training programmes between both organizations.
