Zambian Army Commander Returns Home

The Zambian Army Commander, Lieutenant General W.M Sikazwe psc DIP (DSS) MA (DSS) who was here on goodwill tour for five days, together with his six-member delegation left for Zambia early this morning (26).

Ending the cordial visit and reassuring continued cooperation to the Sri Lankan armed forces, he was seen off by Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage, Chief of Staff of the Army at the Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport.

The Chief of Staff at the airport presented him a photo album that contains memorable interactions and his visits to other places in the country during his stay in Sri Lanka.

During his visit, he held a series of productive bilateral talks with the Secretary Defence, acting Chief of Defence Staff & Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Navy & Air Force Commanders and visited the Sri Lanka Military Academy at Diyatalawa and the Defence Services Command & Staff College at Sapugaskanda.

The Chief of Staff, Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage, together with Major General Priyantha Senaratne, Senior Liaison Officer extended their best wishes to the delegation a few minutes before their departure from the airport.
