Sensitive to the COVID-19 emergency preparations, being made by the Army, a three-member team of executives from Lanka Nature Power & Rough T-Shirts Company after meeting General Shavendra Silva, Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army this afternoon (4) gifted 7,800 meters of white cotton fabric used for bed sheets, bedspreads and pillow cases in newly-improvised Care Centres for potential patients.
The three-member team of Lanka Nature Power & Rough T-Shirts Company, Mr. N.M Khalid, Mr. Humaid Khalid and Mr. Nabeel Khalid during the meet, appreciative of Army roles, symbolically handed over the gift of cloth to General Shavendra Silva.
General Shavendra Silva thanked those young entrepreneurs for their timely gesture and thoughtfulness considering the need of during this national emergency. He also awarded a memento to them as a symbol of appreciation and commendation.
