Students learning at Welikanda Central College will have access to IT facilities thanks to the sponsorship, extended by Kaduruwela Commercial Bank at the request of the Security Force Headquarters- East (SFHQ-(E)).
The new computer laboratory, worth about Rs 2 million is equipped with ten computers, together with printers and scanners. The formal opening of the new unit took place on Friday (3) during a brief ceremony, headed by Major General Lal Perera, Commander, SFHQ-E.
Commercial Bank officials, principal and teachers, students, parents and a gathering of invitees attended the occasion.
