The Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc paid tribute on 25 January 2024 to the late Warrant Officer 1 A.K Ramanadan (Rtd), who passed away after battling a brief illness that he faced in the final moments of his life.
Warrant Officer 1 A.K Ramanadan (Rtd), a member of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, retired in 1980 after dedicating himself to the service of the country. Throughout his career, he played a vital role in upholding reconciliation, territorial integrity, and the sovereignty of Sri Lanka. As a mark of respect for his unwavering service, Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, conveyed his condolences by sending a flower wreath to the funeral ceremony.
Warrant Officer Ramanadan, a beloved father of five children, will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his country. The funeral ceremony, held in Puttur, Jaffna, saw attendance from Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks who paid their respects and witnessed the awarding of military honors in his memory.
