The final 'Diners’ Club event calendar for 2022 at the Army War College (AWC) was held on Saturday (26) at the Officers’ Mess where Major General Swarna Bothota, Military Secretary and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps graced the event as the Guest Speaker.
He spoke on the timely topic ‘Officering; Challenges and Way Ahead' to a gathering of 171 participants, composed of Student Officers, the Commandant, the Chief Instructor and faculty members, together with permanent staff. All attendees also got a unique opportunity of interacting with the Military Secretary who was the first Commandant at the re-designated Army War College as well as a pioneer in career development training of the Army.
This event provided an opportunity for the officers to enhance their knowledge on challenges, faced by officers in their career progression and development.
