Wanni Troops Undergo Culinary Training Under Renowned Expert

With the objective of creating awareness on healthy culinary habits, preparation of healthy meals, high standards of food varieties and nutritional factors, the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W) enabled a total of about 242 Army chefs and assistants serving in all formations of the SFHQ-W to learn more about relative aspects of the art of cooking.

A two-day workshop to this effect was organized on the instructions of Major General Jagath Gunawardene, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni with the participation of Dr Pabilis Silva, the veteran culinary expert in the Hotel Mount Lavinia, now a Director in the company.

The coordination to this project was done by Colonel Anil Peiris, 212 Brigade Commander of the 21 Division in close consultation with the General Officer Commanding, 21 Division.

The closing ceremony and award of certificates to the trainees got underway on Sunday (27), headed by the Commander, Security Forces - Wanni.
