Students at remote M/Paranagama Vidyalaya in the Vavuniya District were among the beneficiaries of a new stock of IT accessories, inclusive of a multi-media unit thanks to an initiative taken by Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni (SFHQ-W) who closely monitored the economic constraints, being experienced by students in this school.
With the sponsorship of Seylan Bank under its Corporate Social Responsibility project, the distribution of a new computer, multimedia projector with a screen and 6 uninterrupted power supply units took place on Wednesday (19) during a simple ceremony with the participation of Brigadier Dhammika Jayasinghe, General Officer Commanding, 62 Division who represented the Wanni Commander. Prior to this donation, Seylan Bank has provided 15 computers to this same remote school in order to support their Information Technology. The donation arrangement was organized under the supervision of the Civil Coordinating Affairs Officer at the SFHQ-W, Lieutenant Colonel G.A.L Kithsiri.
