Over 500 children in resettled villages of Bogaswewa and Selalihinigama in Vavuniya on the eve of the New Year day received school accessories and gift parcels, thanks to an initiative taken by the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni through the Hemas Outreach Foundation of Colombo Hemas Group.

All the children gathered at Selalihinigama ‘Piyawara’ pre-school and Bogaswewa Vidyalaya premises separately on the same day to receive those incentives after all arrangements were put in place by 19 (V) Gajaba Regiment troops serving under the SFHQ-W on the directions of Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander, Security Forces, Wanni.

Initiated by the SFHQ-W for the 6th consecutive year, the Hemas Outreach Foundation distributed those gift parcels among the children gathered at both school premises in Vavuniya as smiling children lined up to receive those incentives.

Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni (SF-W), together with Mrs Shiromi Masakorala, Executive Director, Hemas Outreach Foundation, 563 Brigade Commander, Inspector at Bogaswewa Police Station, Senior Officers, Other Rankers, civilians, students and other invitees attended both occasions.

At the end of those two ceremonies, special refreshments were also shared among all the attendees.
