110 Regimental Sergeant Majors and Warrant Officers Class II serving all formations under the Security Force HQ - Wanni, together with 13 Warrant Officers, including 07 Regimental Sergeant Majors of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) during 18 -19 January attended a SFHQ-W – organized workshop on ‘Professional Standards, Leadership Qualities and Commanding Ability, etc’ at the SFHQ-W auditorium.
The project, proposed by the Commander, Security Forces – Wanni, Major General Champaka Ranasinghe was given lectures by the Regimental Sergeant Major Warrant Officer - I P.G.M.S.S Jayaweera of Army Headquarters, former Regimental Sergeant Majors of Sri Lanka Military Academy - Diyathalawa, Warrant Officer-I B.D.S Hemachandra (Retd) and Warrant Officer-I K.R.A Senavirathne (Retd).
They also educated them on duties and responsibilities of Warrant Officers, management skills, funeral formalities, discipline, etc. In addition, Major General L.D.S.S Liyanage, GOC 56 Division delivered a lecture on ‘Leadership’.
At the termination of the workshop, the GOC 56 Division Major General L.D.S.S Liyanage presented plaques and certificates to all Warrant Officers and lecturers who attended the workshop. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni participated in the closing ceremony.
