Wanni Commander Initiates Donation of Gift Vouchers to 300 Students for School Shoes

As a continuation of being supportive for upliftment of educational standards of students in remote Wanni schools, Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander Security Forces - Wanni initiated one more round of a donation programme on Wednesday (23) by distributing gift vouchers to buy pairs of school shoes for needy students in the Wanni area after inviting the students to the Sri Sobhitha Maha Vidyalaya, Madawachchiya and Kirigallewa Maha Vidyalaya.

Accordingly, thanks to the generosity provided by the philanthropist, Mr Rohan Masakorala of Sri Lanka Shipping Council, over 300 selected Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim Students at V/Kalukunnammaduwa Vidyalaya, A/Sri Sobhitha Maha Vidyalaya,A/Kirigallewa Maha Vidyalaya, V/Christhrayakulam Maka Vidyalaya, V/Nelukkulam Kalei Magal Vidyalaya, V/Settikulam Maha Vidyalaya, V/Manik Farm Vidyalaya, V/Maradhammaduwa Maha Vidyalaya, V/Logeshwara Vidyalaya, V/Veerapuram Maniwar Maha Vidyalay, V/Muthiyarkulahi Arasami Tamil Collage, V/Karakkalpudukulam Vidyalaya, V/Maniyarkulam Vidyalaya, V/Kakkankulam Maha Vidyalaya, V/Muhunthankulam Maha Vidyalaya, V/Gamini Maha Vidyalaya, and MN/Mullikulam Roman Catholic School received gift vouchers to the value of Rs 300,000.00 to buy school shoes.

Major General Kumudu Perera after contacting the donor sought his assistance in this direction.
