The five-member Chinese military delegation currently in Sri Lanka visited the Panagoda Army Cantonment on Thursday (5) as part of their itinerary and familiarization programmme.
The delegation, comprised of Senior Colonel W. U Xiaoyi, Colonel He Zhoujin, Colonel Guo Hongtao, Lieutenant Colonel Cui Zhipeng and Lieutenant Zbang Heng on arrival at Panagoda, was received by Major General S.R Manawadu, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters-South (SFHQ-S).
The group received a general briefing from the SFHQ-S Commander during their stay at Panagoda. A special memento was also presented to the head of the delegation on the same occasion as a token of memory.
The same Chinese delegation, as the first item on its tour agenda called on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya at Army Headquarters on Thursday (5) morning.
