Visit of the General Officer Commanding to the 14 (V) GW

Major General W.M.P.M Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu, General Officer Commanding of 59 Infantry Division made a field visit to 14 (V) Gemunu Watch (GW) on 5 January.

The Commanding Officer of 14 (V) GW warmly welcomed the General Officer Commanding to the camp premises. Subsequently, the Commanding Officer of 14 (V) GW conducted a comprehensive briefing on the role and tasks of the battalion before the General Officer Commanding undertook a field visit to the camp compound.

Following the briefing, the General Officer Commanding, accompanied by other officers, visited Gurukanda and Kokilai Temple. During this visit, they engaged in a cordial interaction with the incumbents and Thero of the temples.
