Viru Kekulu Kids Show their Talents

THE ANNUAL YEAR-END variety entertainment and the exhibition of handicrafts at the Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) managed Viru Kekulu pre-school at Kosgama got underway last Friday (27).

Mrs. Manjulika Jayasuriya, SVAB President graced the occasion as Chief Guest in the company of several senior SVAB members. A bevy of kids learning in the pre-school welcomed the Chief Guest and conducted her to open the exhibition, organized by them. Mrs. Jayasuriya cut the ceremonial ribbon and lit the traditional lamp with others to inaugurate the day’s proceedings.

Mrs. Rohini Wasantha Kumara, a senior SVAB member and the official in charge of the pre-school took the lead in organizing the event on behalf of the tutorial staff, children and their parents.

The visitors, accompanied by the Chief Guest went round and enjoyed the exhibits and talked to kids, their parents before certificates in appreciation of their talents were issued at the end of the variety entertainment. Mrs. Jayasuriya listened to the views of the teachers and gave further instructions for the progress of the project. Kids who performed in the entertainment received gifts at the end of the day’s proceedings.
