VIR Seva Vanitha Builds New House for Another War Hero

One more new house, built by Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) Seva Vanitha Unit with sponsorship, provided by Mr Ranjith Pandithage, Chairman, DIMO Company Ltd was vested in the disable War Hero, Lance Corporal C.K Kulathilaka during a recent simple ceremony in Mihintale, Anuradhapura. 

Following an initiative of Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, President, Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB), the VIR Seva Vanitha Unit, chaired by Mrs   Preethi Samarathunga, was instrumental in erecting this house to the War Hero of 5 Battalion VIR.  The entire construction cost Rs 2.3 million.  

Lance Corporal C.K Kulathilaka with his impaired sight due to battlefield injuries had been living in his old house with his parents until this new house was built by the VIR Seva Vanitha Unit.

The ceremony to warm the new house took place on Saturday (18). Mr Pandithage, Mrs Samarathunga, Colonel D.M.K.D.B Pusella of VIR Regiment and a gathering of VIR Seva Vanitha members were present at the occasion.
