Pre-school teachers in the Vavuniya Educational Zone participated in a one-day training workshop with the desire of developing their teaching skills. It was held at Gamini Maha Vidyalaya, Vavuniya on Saturday (3).
211 Brigade Headquarters in coordination with Union Assurance PLC organized the programme under the guidance of the 211 Brigade Commander.
The training programme was sponsored at a cost of about Rs 50,000 by the Union Assurance PLC. Over 100 pre-school teachers took part in the training workshop during the day.
211 Brigade Commander, Colonel M.K.S Silva as the Chief Guest, Mr K. Kokilan, Manager of Union Assurance PLC, Vavuniya Branch, Senior officers, civil coordinating officers and educational officers attended the programme.
