District Committee Meeting of Vavuniya for COVID-19 Control was held on 04th June 2021 in order to discuss the prevailing pandemic situation in the region.
The main objective of the meeting was to take necessary steps to control the spread of Corona and assist facilitation of the public to buy their provisions through CWE and CO-OP shops.
The Commander Security Forces - Wanni Major General Hemantha Bandara, District Secretary Mr. Saman Bandulasena, Divisional Secretary Mr. P.M.A.K Kumara, General Officer Commanding 56 Division Major General Nandana Dunuwila, Commander 563 Brigade Brigadier Panduka Perera, Senior Superintendent of Police Vavuniya Division Mr Tissa Lal de Silva, Ven Aluthgama Indrasara Thero, Public Health Inspector, Health Officers, Grama Niladhari, Committee members and civilians attended the meeting.
