To coincide with the 72nd Army Anniversary, a beach clearing operation got away in Vakare area in Batticaloa on the directions of the Commander, 233 Brigade, Colonel Wasantha Hewage. Officers and Other Ranks of the 233 Brigade & 6 Gajaba Regiment troops participated in this event.
Meanwhile, 50 Jack saplings were also planted in the 233 Brigade Headquarters premises at Vakare on account of the Army Day anniversary.
