With the intention of receiving an update in relation to economic development and security in areas under the Security Forces Headquarters, Kilinochchi, (SFHQ-KLN) two military officers serving the US Embassy in Colombo visited Kilinochchi early this week and met Major General Nandana Udawatta, Commander SFHQ-KLN at his office.
Lieutenant Colonel Patrick and Captain Daniel of the US Army during their meeting received a full account of the ground realities, related to infrastructure development of resettled areas, ongoing de-mining work and security from the Kilinochchi Commander.
Both US officers after the meeting at Kilinochchi proceeded to the north.
