The outgoing US Defence Attaché at the Embassy of the United States of America in Colombo Lieutenant Colonel Patrick J Schuler paid a farewell courtesy call on Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake at the Army Headquarters Thursday (26) evening.
Lieutenant General Ratnayake during the brief meeting wished the outgoing Defenec Attaché good luck with his future assignments and thanked him for the good relations that were maintained during his tenure of office in Sri Lanka.
Exchange of mementos as memories of goodwill culminated the brief meeting. Major Michael Christian of the US Embassy was also associated with the occasion.
Lieutenant Colonel Schuler who has served for more than two years in Sri Lanka is to take up a new appointment in the future.
