Major General Chris Smith, Deputy Commanding General - Strategy and Plans of the U.S. Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) in Fort Shafter in Hawaii currently in Sri Lanka, together with Lieutenant Colonel Anthony C. Nelson, Defence Attaché of the US Embassy in Colombo, Major Benjamin Flores, Major Omar Cavalier and Captain Caitlin Pennicooke paid a sudden visit on Major General G.R.R.P Jayawardena RWP RSP ndu, Overlooking Chief of Staff of the Army and Quarter Master General of the Army at the Army Headquarters on Thursday (16 November).
During the cordial interaction that ensued, the Overlooking Chief of Staff and the delegation exchanged views on training matters, current security issues and other matters of general concern for both organizations.
At the conclusion of the discussion, mementoes were exchanged.
Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Director General General Staff (DGGS), Brigadier P.K.S Nandana RSP USP psc, Director, Directorate of Training, Brigadier M.C.S.K Senaratne RWP RSP, Director, Directorate of Quality Assurance and Inspection were also associated with the cordial meeting.
