A total of 239 new recruits trained at the Infantry Training Centre (ITC) at Minneriya passed out on Saturday (10) during a colourful parade at the ITC - Minneriya, held in accordance with health practices.
Major General Sena Waduge, Commander Army Training Command (ARTRAC) as the Chief Guest received their salute where a section of their parents and relatives were present.
Those new recruits received a four-month long training at the ITC under the supervision of the Commandant ITC.
Recruit H.P.V Dishan received the Best Shot and Best Recruit award Recruit J.M.A Tharanga, and the Recruit D.M.K Chanuka carried the Best in Physical Training award. Both of them accepted those awards from the day’s Chief Guest.
