The United Nations Staff Officers Course (UNSOC) Number – 03, held from 11 to 27 March 2024 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) under the guidance of Major General C.A. Rajapaksha RSP, the Commandant of the IPSOTSL.
The closing ceremony of the course was held on 27 March 2024. 23 Student Officers from the Sri Lanka Army and 03 Student Officers from the Sri Lanka Navy, along with seven foreign Student Officers from Bangladesh, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal and Indonesia participated in the course.
Major General G.M.N. Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, the Director General General Staff (Overlooking), Quarter Master General and Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka Light Infantry graced the occasion as the chief guest upon the invitation of the Commandant of IPSOTSL.
Moreover, he posed for a group photograph with the Student Officers of UNSOC. Additionally, he visited the camp premises to assess the training infrastructure facilities and offered valuable guidance to enhance the standards of the institute's infrastructure.
The Director General Training, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of IPSOTSL participated in the closing ceremony.
