Students and pre-school kids in newly resettled villages, Bogaswewa, Selalihinigama and Namalgama received gift parcels, sponsored by university students, attached to the Colombo University Rotary Club on Monday (24) during a brief ceremony coordinated by the Army.
These gift parcels containing school accessories, exercise books, bags and the suchlike were organized by team of students, including Ms Sanduni Warnasuriya, Ms Nirmani Wijeweera and Mr Sachintha Abeysooriya in coordination with 56 Division and 563 Brigade of Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W).
Major General Boniface Perera, Security Force Commander - Wanni took part in the distribution ceremony at Bogaswewa school ground at the invitation of General Officer Commanding, 56 Division. Many senior officers and invitees attended the occasion.
