United Nations Military Observers Course (UNMOC) NO 3 Concludes

United Nations Military Observers’ Course (UNMOC) - No 03 sponsored by the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) was concluded on 22 November 2024 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL), Kukuleganga.

The course was comprised of 29 x foreign and local tri forces Officers including 22 x Officers from the Sri Lanka Army, 2 x Officers from the Sri Lanka Navy, 2 x Lady Officers from the Sri Lanka Air Force, 2 x foreign Officers representing Mongolia, and 1 x foreign Lady Officer representing the Fiji. The panel consisted of 4 Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from GPOI. The Team Leader, Mr. Roger David Hughes from the United Kingdom, Mr. Jens Winther Andersen from Denmark, Mr. Branislav Miletic from Serbia and Lieutenant Colonel A.B.U Tareq Mohammad Rashed from Bangladesh.

The Director General General Staff of Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the closing remarks after awarding certificates to the participants. Brigadier K.D.M.L Samaradiwakara RWP RSP psc ndc Officiating Director General Training, Brigadier S.A Hettige RSP psc, the Commandant of the IPSOTSL, Brigadier Y.K.S Rangika psc ptsc, Director Engineer Services and Senior Officers, Officers and Instructors of IPSOTSL participated in the event.
