The visiting Head of the UN Office of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Ms Agnes Asekenye Oonyu on Wednesday (22) during a meeting with Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) at SFHQ-KLN, received an update on various roles and tasks, being carried out by Army troops in Kilinochchi area as at present.
Matters, related to development roles, different challenges, security arrangements, house construction and scheduled resettlement and development plans, were taken up for discussion during this meeting.
The visiting OCHA official thanked the Army for its multifaceted roles in the province and assured UN support for all the projects before she departed, together with her deputy.
