The UK High Court Quashes Conviction against Major General Priyanka Fernando, Acquits Him & Orders to Pay Costs

The UK High Court quashed the previous Magistrate Court's ruling against Major General Priyanka Fernando, former Minister Counsellor (Defence) at High Commission of Sri Lanka in London in view of his diplomatic immunity and cited allegations made by pro- LTTE protesters as "trumped up or baseless allegations" and ordered defendants (pro-LTTE terror supporters) to pay all costs to Major General Priyanka Fernando in a ruling delivered on Friday (19).
