Two More Major Generals Receive Symbolic Swords of Authority

Newly promoted Major General P.A.M Peiris USP psc, Director General Sports and Major General E.M.M Fernando Hdmc Lsc, Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - North on Tuesday (07 Nov) after their recent elevation to the next rank received their symbolic swords of authority from the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu at the Commander’s Office.

At the Commander’s office, both of them received best wishes and greetings from the Commander of the Army and accepted the symbolic swords of authority, associated with their new ranks in the Army. At the same time, the Army Chief wished them best of luck for further enhancement of their commitment to the organization.

Both newly-promoted Major Generals thanking the Commander of the Army for his warm wishes and greetings added memories to the occasion by posing for several photos with the Commander of the Army.
